At Lightning Rock Cattle, our family raises cattle with love and provides them with the best possible life. As parents of young children, we know the importance of feeding our family healthy meats from healthy animals- without hormones, antibiotics, and preventative medicines.
We believe in quality: quality cattle, quality forage, and quality meat. We carefully select cattle that are bred for and adapted to the southern, humid climate. We plant diverse forage species to ensure the cattle have a nutritious and balanced diet. We avoid using fertilizers and pesticides to prevent health risks to humans, the cattle, and the environment.
We know it can be confusing to decipher labels and make informed decisions when choosing what to buy. We want to take away the guesswork so you know what you’re putting on the table. We strive for transparency and encourage customers to visit us!
BEEF SHARES
WHOLE BEEF: $3,840- $4,800; $12/lb, approx 320-400lbs of packaged meat, customize your cuts.
HALF BEEF: $2,080- $2,600; $13/lb, approx 160-200lbs of packaged meat, customize your cuts.
QUARTER BEEF: $1,040- $1,300; $13/lb, approx 80-100lbs of packaged meat, farmer picks cuts.
$500 non-refundable deposit. All beef is frozen. Bones, organs, feet, hides, etc. upon request.
Prices include butchering fees and delivery within 50 miles of Walterboro. Outside our radius? Pickup on the farm!
MONTHLY BOXES
Coming in 2024! Monthly delivery of pasture finished beef, chicken, duck, and eggs to West Ashley and Summerville! Customize your box with the beef, chicken, and duck choices to make your box!
Monthly Box selections are subject to availability, but customer recommendations are prioritized. 3-month minimum commitment.
Monthly Boxes will be delivered to a meeting place in Summerville or West Ashley and picked up by the customer.
$100 deposit will be applied to the 3rd month.
